What once started as a “what if?” musing has grown into one of the biggest wall art festivals in the world. After 10 years of history and over 150 painted murals and counting, Long Beach Walls is publishing Flying in Blind, a new book capturing the first decade that transformed a small-scale show into an indispensable part of the Long Beach identity and community.

The book features over 200 pages that include interviews with artists and organizers including James Jean, Lauren Young-Smith, Julia Huang, and Jasper Wong; photos of murals from each festival year; and rare ephemera spanning a decade of Long Beach Walls memories.

Long Beach Walls was brought to the City of Long Beach by Julia Huang, Intertrend, and supported by City partners, as a chapter of Worldwide Walls.

Creative Class Collective, a 501(c)3 formed by and supported by Intertrend produces the annual festival.
